Energy dissipation technology can effectively improve the seismic behavior of building structures. However, the consensus has not been achieved on the target performance and design method of the energy dissipation substructures. The design method based on elastic analysis under frequent earthquakes was proposed for the energy dissipation substructure using the inter-column connection. The design procedure and the associated key points were illustrated. A reinforced concrete frame substructure and two energy dissipation substructures were tested using low-cycle reversed loading to investigat

To reduce the damage of the traditional steel frames under strong earthquakes, a type of prefabricated steel frame structure with self-centering rocking column footings was proposed. The construction details and working mechanism of the frame were introduced. A rocking steel frame with a scale ratio of 1/4 was designed and manufactured. The low-cycle reversed loading tests and finite element simulation were carried out on the specimen to investigate its seismic performance. The research results show that the rocking steel frame realizes the controllable rocking of the column footings under

The article reveals the results of the study of peculiarities of understanding by parents of primary school students of determinants of negative-motives of children's learning activity, which along with positive motives determine the child's general attitude to learning and are extremely understudied in domestic and foreign psychology. A questionnaire was used to collect empirical data; the sample consisted of 252 parents whose children study in schools of various types from the first to the fourth grades. The results were processed and interpreted using content analysis, ranking, &
